We started seeing some interesting prints while out biking in the desert near Maricopa.
The prints were Javelina and we set out to capture a few pictures with a trail-camera.

All these desert bushes look the same
 

Looking for the camera: second day



Heere's a nice weathered stump




Lots of rabbits out at night
They stay underground to escape the heat of the day



But look at the size of this one: Black tailed Jackrabbit
 



What we were seeing were two varieties
This is a Desert Cottontail

Here's a good game trail through a mesquite thicket
This trail has lots of Javelina and Coyote tracks and appears well traveled
The holes are a mix of  metal detector hunters and burrows, probably rabbits.
