Arizona Winter 2016/2017

   December, January, February

Since this is our third winter in Arizona, we settle down a bit with fewer sidetrips. Retired life! ...with more than enough daily hikes in the desert, fun in the pool and bike rides. Squeezed in some house maint items and yard work.

Here's a side trip to the Superstition mountains

Citrus in side yard finally starting to produce.
Note the lemon and Orange in far background
This Pink Grapefruit provided more than enough fruit to have a couple every day for breakfast.

Jan at a cool little-known desert nursery
It was called "Leaf and Feather", had birds too.

New plantings

The front yard tree didn't lose all its leaves until mid February
We tried to understand the odd desert plants.

Every plant has to have a buried drip line to it and gets a 10 min water each morning

The drip system requires a fair amount of maintenance.
Here's a new PVC line along the E Wall. The old line was  plastic and had six repairs!
