How Popcorn Pond got it's name:
When Earl was looking at recreation property in 1958, he and Laurine and Davidhiked back to jordan creek for a look. There was a beaver pond near the present campsite. It was brimming full and obviously had a family of beavers working on it every night. There were so many small fish jumping that it looked like popcorn popping.
It then got the name popcorn pond and it stuck!
